We’re big fans of The Vaccines here at The Whiteboard Project. Their latest album Come of Age was one of our favourite releases of the year and their new single ‘I Always Knew’ is thundering out of our record player as we speak. 

 

Last night we jumped at the chance to chat to Justin and Arni ahead of the first stop on their current arena tour at Plymouth Pavilions. They play sold out gigs in Cardiff tonight, London’s renowned Alexandra Palace tomorrow, before visiting Leicester, Manchester, Liverpool, Doncaster, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, and Bournemouth. We used our signature Whiteboard interview technique to find out more about what makes The Vaccines tick.

 

Arni, please sum up The Vaccines in a drawing.

Taking our inspiration from the title of your latest album, Arni please tell us when did you/will you Come of Age?

 

 

Justin, what puts you in a ‘Bad Mood’?

Arni, you claim you will ‘Blow Your Mind’ – draw the last time you blew someone’s mind.

 

Justin, in ‘A Lack of Understanding’ there are things that “you won’t/don’t understand” – what will you never understand?

 

 Arni, if you could make a vaccine against something what would your vaccine prevent?
